About Us

The Official Royal House of Sori®  (TORHOS) serves as a sovereign institute and custodian of the Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahima ibn Sori's dynasty’s ensuring the  preservation of historical legacy, cultural traditions, and ancestral heritage. As a federally registered entity, the House carries the responsibility of safeguarding the integrity, accuracy, and continuity of the dynasty’s narrative one that spans centuries, continents, and generations.

Our mandate is rooted in our President and Sovereign's commitment to preserving the Sori's dynasty through rigorous scholarship and cultural stewardship. We are dedicated to the preservation, documentation, and interpretation of the histories that shaped the Sori lineage, as well as the broader cultural landscapes from which it emerged. This includes the diverse and influential traditions of the Fulani, Moors, Mandinka, and numerous other pre‑colonial societies whose intellectual, political, and cultural contributions form the foundation of African and global history.

TORHOS is committed to advancing research that draws upon oral histories, written records, archival materials, and material culture. By integrating these sources, we work to ensure that the historical record remains credible, verifiable, and accessible to scholars, descendants, and the public. Our efforts recognize that Prince Abdulrahman Ibrahima ibn Sori—whose lineage may extend to thousands of descendants—represents not only a singular historical figure but also a gateway to understanding the interconnected histories of West Africa, the African Diaspora, and the Atlantic world.

To support this mission, the House is developing a comprehensive digital repository that will serve as a centralized resource for authenticated historical materials related to the Sori dynasty and its cultural contexts. This platform will provide open access to researchers, educators, students, and community members seeking reliable information and scholarly insight.

Through academic partnerships, cultural collaborations, public programming, and educational initiatives, the Official Royal House of Sori® fosters an environment where historical inquiry, cultural preservation, and community engagement intersect. Our work ensures that the legacies of African royal houses and pre‑colonial civilizations are preserved with dignity, studied with intellectual rigor, and shared with global audiences.

TORHOS stands as a bridge between past and present—honoring ancestral heritage while supporting the continued study, celebration, and understanding of Africa’s rich and enduring cultural traditions.
